Up to the present, many historians have thought that the Korean history books and those of Chinese suggested the different historical phase for the Korean peninsular in the 3rd century. And then, they have made efforts to find out the correct one between the both sides’ history books. But the difference was merely occurred from the divergence of visual angle to same aspect. Because the Korean ancient states were founded on the basis of the duplex setup system, according to the visual angle, for example a lateral or a longitudinal view, it can be described to different phase. So we ought to read the both sides' history books mutual supplementarily.
This thesis explores the structure of the Duplex Setup System of the korean ancient states. One of its main proposals is that the Three States of the Ancient Korea were established upon this system. The Khan class, that is, governing class of each state, were gathering each other, and had a chief Khan as their own king of a new united kingdom. Saroh(斯盧) was one of those. Therefore Saroh was a united kingdom ruled over all of the Jinhan(辰韓) states from the beginning. The people living in the state were not under the ruling of the king of Saroh, but under the ruling of their own Khan. So to speak, there were two dimension of state. One is a state ruled by a khan, another is a state was made up of the khan classes. This is the Duplex Setup System.
Another is that the Duplex Setup System was the distinguishing phase of the ancient of Korea. When the Duplex Setup System was changed to the Unitary Ruling System by the King, the ancient period of the korean history was finished.
