There is Jin-Ta-Si(金塔寺) Cave 62㎞ toward the South off Gan Su Province Zhang Ye city(張掖市), and it is cut a canal between east and west. The plane construction of east and west cave is rectangle and the ceiling is flat which shape is like 覆斗形. This construction of stone cave is the same with Tian Ti Shan(天梯山) No.1ㆍNo.4 which is cut a canal in Bei-Liang(北?) period. The ceiling of Northern Dynasties Chetiyagharas in Mogaoku(莫高窟) and Yungang(雲岡) cave is normally flat. Cutting a canal time of Jin-Ta-Si East and West Cave is earlier than Northern Dynasties as cave construction. The characteristic which has square Chetiya and make story is different from Kucha, Kizil cave and Kumtura cave which has only one story and arrange a shrine in front of cave, in Central Asia.
Statue arrangement of Jin-Ta-Si Cave forms 1 Buddha, 2 Boddhisattvas or 1 Buddha, 2 monks from downstairs. This is same with Tian Ti Shan No.1, 4, Mogaoku No. 275, Binglingsi(炳靈寺)169 Shrine of No. 169.
三尊像 is prevalent continually, Buddha arrangement, from the Period of North and South Dynasties through Sui dynasty and Tang dynasty. In case of Yungang cave NO.2 Chetiyagharas, the thing that all Buddha and Boddhisattva arrangeinside shrine is different from arrangement of statue in He Si area.
通肩式 among Jin-Ta-Si Buddha clothe is expressed hanging down the lower edges of garment long from back of left shoulder especially the collar that twined around left shoulder from right shoulder. These 大衣 prevail in Si Qin dynasty Budda Binglingsi No. 169 and Bei-Liang period Mogaoku No. 268 and No. 272. 右肩偏袒式 which cover right shoulder slightly and 右肩偏袒式 express the edge of collar back of shoulder with covering left shoulder through chest after twined under right arm are shown as Binglingsi No 169 and Bei-Liang Chetiya in Bei-Liang period.
Hairstyle and accessrory of Buddha is also same with Bei-Liang period Boddhisattva, but it is different from Yungang cave. Especially expression of skirt near waist part and expression of strings sides of waist expression in Jin-Ta-Si Boddhisattva are shown generally in Central Asia like Tiantishan cave No. 4 Boddhisattva and Kizil cave No. 92 Boddhisattva which are recorded in the 3rd century. Northern Dynasties Yungang cave Boddhisattva has rarely right and left bundle of added skirt.
By the record of 『宋書』, we can notice that Juqumengxun(沮渠蒙遜) is from Zhang Ye(張掖) Lushuihu(盧水胡). Lushui(盧水), is a river passing through ZhangYe Mati mountin, is whrer Jintasi cave was cut a canal.
Juqumengxun(沮渠蒙遜) gave positive aid to constitute st?pas, stone caves and stone buddha and to translate Buddhist scriptures. His sons, Juquheungguk(沮渠興國), Juqumujian(沮渠牧?) and Juqquanju(沮渠安周), and his cousin Juqukyungsung(沮渠慶聲) took activities as translating Buddhist scriptures, establishing stupa and visiting Central Asia. Therefore condition of establishig Jin-Ta-Si Cave is more than enough in Bei-Liang(北?) period, and after Bei-Liang was falled, it is difficult to have great activities in this area.
In this period, Gu-bup monk use a land route, get Buddhist scriptures and learn Buddhism dogma. Relationship Hesi area and Central Asia has frequent interchanges in Buddism field, but still has political belonging question. Central Asia nations pay tribute, for example, Qianliang(前?) belong Kucha(于?) and Shan-shan(?善), and Xiliang(西?) and Beiliang(北?) belong Shan shan Gaochang(高昌). Politically and culturally, Hesi(河西) area in 5th century has frequent interchange and relationship. Appearance of central asian factor in Jin-Ta-Si Cave can be understood naturally in these historical background.
