There is a very large number of hells(Naraka) in Buddhism However, several of the Buddhist Scriptures, in common, mention the called ‘Eight heat hells(Naraka)’, which are made up of heat. This thesis is a study of those ‘8 hells (Naraka)’.
‘Hell(Naraka)’ should be understood as a metaphor rather than a physical reality. But this idea has affected on prescribing the lives of a great many people for a long period of time. In particular, there are too many types of hells(Naraka) to count in Buddhism The pain is very real and sensible.
After all, there are as many worlds of hell(Naraka) in the Buddhist Scriptures as there are types of hard work that a human can suffer in life. If this is so, the number of hells(Naraka) could be a hundred and a thousand or more, Finally, according to the Buddhist Scriptures, the world of hell(Naraka) gives a vivid description of human life. Coming up with hundreds or thousands of names for hell(Naraka) shows all the sorts of human pain and regret.
People might call the story (that is, ‘hell(Naraka)’ exists and there is acute pain) trickery (too absurd to believe). However, if hell(Naraka) did not exist, nobody would incur the punishment of Heaven and people would carelessly behave in violation of moral standards, and fundamental public order would be committed and all sorts of lawlessness would be done undauntedly (without hesitation).
The scriptures tell the story about the numerous hells(Naraka) and pains in order to prevent lawlessness, violations of the law and wrongfulness.
