Venice Biennale has become a world-wide Architecture exhibition that makes bold statement on current address of contemporary architecture and presents vivid proposals of its future. It has developed itself to the point of "exhibiting" architects' visualized ideas and concepts on their works not only simply introducing their backgrounds and projects. This became possible while we've been trying to overcome its unique limitations that actual building cannot be displayed in separate location and smaller space but through architectural mediums only. These expressional methods transform into concepts, space and events in the form of architectural installation and video animation etc. and recompose the exhibition space that translate instant space concept to the viewers.
This study is to analyze how these architectural interventions have been representing the contemporary architecture, compare and analyze characters of each architectural mediums' expressional techniques, rhythm and space scenario within exhibition space based on the 9th Venice biennale architecture exhibition "Metamorph" in 2004.
