This study aimed at architectural design of service center for the handicapped. It was planned to provide rehabilitation service such as counselling, treatment, education and occupational training for the handicapped, and contribute to financial independency and welfare promotion of the handicapped through enlightenment and public relations involved with improvement of social recognition to disability.
Therefore, this study intended to achieve easy access to the center through creation of the space and service conveniently arranged for the handicapped. The building was mainly designed to provide space for welfare and rehabilitation service including a variety of convenient facilities such as a counselling room, clinics, a swimming pool, classrooms, a library, and a multi-purpose room. Therefore, it can be connected with other service centers which are open to the handicapped in this community and is expected to play an important role in education and rehabilitation for the handicapped.
