This paper has been prepared as one of the interim results of long term research program to understand the spatial characteristrics and to contribute to the development and changes of 41 small town centers in Korea.
This interim results include the findings and presents conclusions based on data surveyed and statistically analyzed between 1989 and 1990.
This paper consist of two major analysis which seek after the distributional patterns of urban facilities by three small town groups and discover main factors which influence to form the physical characteristics and functions of the small town centers.
