The study deals with the possible ways for the conservation systems on historic environment of city to conserve urban traditional houses (Hanoks) around KyodongㆍPoongnamdong in Chonju city representing national historical environment.
After preservation significance is studied by characteristic of Hanok conservative area, operational problems from the designation to the abrogation of Hanok conservation district are analyzed and they are compared with conservation district system of historic buildings in Japan.
In conclusion, the followings are suggested to improve effective management : application of conservation system related with conservation area of historic environment establishment of conservation plan containing practical management and reformation, propriety of conservation plan and urban planning, fulfillment of conservation administration by citizen, establishment of regulations on loss and compensation, and etc.
