The Han-ok Residential Area, which is one of the historical life environments, is not only an asset to be protected by the public, but also a private asset of the residents to be conserved as well. Because of such feature of Han-ok as above, this research starts from the assumption that the conservation consciousness as regards the Han-ok should be grasped from two kinds of viewpoints, from that of public and of residents, to deal with the conservation policy. This research mainly consists of two parts, one is to evaluate the conservation consciousness of the citizens and residents on the Han-ok Residential Area on the basis of the economic value, and the other is to make an analysis on the difference of conservation consciousness between the citizens and residents, and on its impact factor. For this purpose, the conservation consciousness of the citizens and residents on the Han-ok Residential Area was investigated through a survey, and based on this, the conservation value was evaluated using the Conditional Valuation Method(CVM). In addition to this, each of structural equation model(SEM) and binary logit model(BLM) was used respectively to grasp the impact factor that influenced on the conservation value.
