Cyberman(’78) was the first 3D ergonomic tool for automotive engineering. It developed to improve the weakness of SAE 2D Template, But lack of “knowledge based engineering” and “Computer technology” made it impossible. Now, new ergonomic tools for automotive engineering have been developed with “advanced human technology” and “powerful CAD system”. They help to solve many problems connected with human being. But sometimes it’s not. There are two main issues. “What is the tool?”, ”what is the knowledge?” To understand the issues can make it possible to succeed in the field of 3D human engineering. To infuse his/her own “knowledge and experiences” makes it perfect.
