The aim of this study is to improve regulations about the domestic building codes and technical field so as to solve the problems related high-rise buildings in the this country. Through the results of questionnaire about the building codes related the characteristics of high-rise building are in substance as follows : Since the current building codes are composed of articles for the general buildings, they are not only inconsistency high-building which is applied with the latest technology and variable technical factors but also bringing about the time-cost problem caused the deliberation procedures and legal regulation at an planning stage.
Finally, the reformation method about the building codes are as follows : First, it is necessary to be established the definition of high-rise building which is appointed over the 50th floor or 200meter, and then utilized the relaxation articles of application in building code about height, area, egress, usage, facilities in enforcement regulations. Secondly, the system about certification of performance have to be established for the performance based design considered the characteristics of high-rise building such as decision in the number of elevator, egress standard and technical installations, etc.
