This study describes the reformation of social relations between urbia and rural areas in Korean focused on the settlement and migration. It is a part of large project- the reformation of social relations between urbia and rural areas in the East Asia in the 21 century.
all survey was conducted with two versions of questionnaires: one for household records and the other individual ones. For the household records the subject was a head of a household while for the individual records the subject was husband and wife.
According to the statistics given by Eup Office, there were 119 households, 72 of which returned household records representing 60.5 % return rate. 69 responses were valid representing 58 %.
Results shows that about the relations between, a local city, Andong and capital Seoul, Andong has been given significance for the past ten years. The problems that Andong has are depressed economy and lack of medical facilities.
As for the problem of the aged, it could be dealt with its economy and health. The health of the aged did not get much attention in previous sociological research. However, this study clearly reveals that the health of the aged is a serious social problem.
