In this thesis, researcher focused on the impossibility of representation which is suggested by the form of ‘voice’ in 「Chong-Dok-Ye-So-Ri」 written by Choi, In-Hoon. This novel examined the criticism on the order of modern nation-state by embodying the identities of national subject and individual one in a fantastic way. The form of ‘voice’ is peculiar style of Choi, In-Hoon's novels. This form presents the changeable image of subject through the discord between a speaker and listeners. The form of ‘voice’ occupies a great part of 「Chong-Dok-Ye-So-Ri」. In this novel discourse of ‘Chong-Dok’ has duplicity : a satire and enlightenment. ‘The satire’ exposes a hostile desire among modern nation-states while 'enlightenment' shows that the situation of 1960s' Korea was in extension of the colonial order of society. Meanwhile descriptions about the poet followed by discourse of ‘Chong-Dok’ express the identity of poet as ambiguity and uncertainty. This displays disillusion caused by captivity in the order of modern nation-state and means criticism on modern nation-state.
