It can get Environmental an eye for beauty from nature and artistic beauty. The poetic function and role is important in environmental issue. It is called 'ecology Poetics' that access this problem. All the ecology Poetics into two distinct kinds, one is a ecological lyric poetry that express intimate relationship and sympathy between human and nature, and the other is critical poetry about civilization that warn or arouse attention.
Buddhism is evoked as most functional idea than anything else. If there is something to include Buddhism and ecology at the same time, it would be ‘Hwaum’(華嚴). Recently, many Korean poets are interested in this Hwaum. For instance, Jeong Hyeon-jong, Lee Seong-Seon, Kim Yong-taek, Kim Ji-ha and so on. 'Eco-Karma', the new created ward that is compressed into by environmental ethics, aim at respect of people's life, peace, and equality. Buddhism insists that everything should throw in the towel the idea of ego. Because all the things has interdependence.
'Erasing me', Oh Se-yeong's poem, is presenting extinction of ego. THis poem is bring up affinity with universal sympathy and unlimited imagination. He said, "'Giving me up' stands for establishment of self." 'Giving me up' represents high-leveled Eco-Karma. An ego worthy of the name is a clue to overcome the crisis with split world. In this study, it made mention of Gary Snyder, as symbol of an ecological poet. He come up with oriental spiritualism because he had trained Zen-Buddhism before. so many korean poets and scholars pay attention to him in this reason.
