This paper is a study on hanjungrog written by Hyegyeonggung Hong from the viewpoint of notation form and phonological phenomena. this book was written modem korean that had very complex spelling system. Hyegyeonggung Hong was a court lady and resided in palace, therefore Hanjungrog's orthography was also conservative. So Hanjungrog is a very important material because it keeps a form of modem Korean. A summary of this paper is as follows.
I) In general, modem Korean had nine laterally attached characters. Among nine characters, 'ㅆ, ㅾ, ㅲ' are newly added in this period. But these newly added characters were not used at all in this material. In addition 'ㅳ' is not foundin in this material because 'ㅳ' was replaced with 'ㅼ' and only 'ㅄ, ㅶ' dccur.
2) In the preceding period of modem ages, 'ㄷ' was not used and morphological notation was regarded as important.
3) In modem ages, 'ㄹㄹ' was confused with 'ㄹㄴ' in word medial position. But in this material, only 'ㄹㄹ' is observed. In stead of 'ㄹㄴ' in this material was found 'ㄴㄴ', 'ㄴㄴ' was used the real pronunciation of the word notation itself.
