This study aims to identify the determinants of overseas expansion by port operator and global strategy of korea port operator. Based on the extant literatures on the global strategies of port operators several factors are identified that assumed to be influential to the terminal, service ability, the effectiveness of terminal operation, human resource, global ability, information system of the terminal.
Questionnaires on these factors are mailed to the port operators and forwarders. 65 effective respondence are used for test.
This paper reviews important factors of overseas expansion and problem of Korea port operator and search the Global Strategy of Korea Port Operator.
The result of this paper will provide a useful insight into the port industry, more specifically business behaviour of global port operators
