The main purpose of this research is to identify and characterize the factors of location designation and its business results of Korean oveaseas trading firms in the European Union. To this end, an empirical analysis was made after surveying 34 firms finally.
Based on preceding researches, the model was designed and the hypotheses and Questions were set up. As independent variables, 6 factors were selected and 2 factors, the current business performance and the expected results of business performance, were analyzed as dependent variables.
The empirical analysis showed that the synergy effect of EU integration, the technical power of head office, the financial system of EU proved significant on the management results both present and future. The localization of sister companies, however, had not much significance on the business results.
It was identified also that the expected results of business performance of above firms investigated would be worse than the current results of business performance.
To check the level of launching effects of above firms by their size and characteristic, they were devided into 3 groups/general trading companies, large manufacturers, small-medium companies on the point of head-offices).
They have appeared that the sister companies of the large manufacturers achieve the original goal more satisfactorily than the other 2 groups.
