As claims, which ‘-daga’, the existing meaning of [stop], functions as various meanings, were raised, discussions about this were partly being held. Therefore this paper tried to propose the typology of the meaning on ‘-daga’, the connective ending in the light of this way. It understood that ‘-daga’ has the basic meaning of [conversion], classified ‘-daga’ as [stop] and [continuance] focused on the semantic function of this [conversion], and again classified ‘-daga’ of [stop] as [middle conversion] and [end conversion], and ‘-daga’ of [continuance] as [simultaneous conversion] and [chance conversion] to inquire into the concept and characteristics of four semantic functions of ‘-daga’. Discussions were held with the fact, which the clear perception of the difference between four semantic functions becomes the most important foundation in understanding the meaning of ‘-daga’ concretely, in mind. On the basis of the existing opinion or position on the semantic aspects that expose by each type, parts of different opinions were also examined. In particular, it has tried a different interpretation of parts required to reconsideration based on the past disclosures about the casuality, finality and intentionality of ‘-daga’, and the difference between ‘-myenseo’ and ‘-myen’, including the difference in conversion between [middle conversion] and [simultaneous conversion].
