As the perspective that the Goryeo was the aristocracy has been widely considered, it was accepted that the power structure was formed around the jaechu and the royal authority was relatively weak. However, these studies had problems did not consider the royal authority sufficiently.
The study of additional office system was not independent of these research trends. It was fault what explained the political meaning of the additional office system except the influence of the king carried the public affairs with the additional office system.
This research deals with the additional office system of daegwan, 6 administrations and bonpumhaengdu. the daegwan like daebu, jungseung and 6 administrations offices like sangseo, sirang operated the main office, and pansa and jisa, japdan, bonpumhaengdu operated the additional office.
As a result, we have known that the public offices were operated divided into categories the main office and the additional office. These additional offices were from the additional offices of the Dang-Song dynasty. The additional office system stabilized the royal authority through the mutual control between the main office and the additional office. And the criteria of the main office and the additional office was whether paid the cost of economy or not.
