The author attempts to show how phonological problems in Chinese Modern poetry are solved through applications of prosody phonology and metrical phonology constructed on the basis of current linguistic theories. For this, this study aims to review the main researching results in recent years on prosody in prominence is included. The summary was divided into two parts: (1) prosody and its implications in syntax and morphology, (2) researches on prominence in Standard Chinese.
Finally, we designed the development of phonological models of Chinese Modern poetry(in the basis of pause prosodic feature in Standard Chinese). This model features can be found. in combining the metrical with grammar. The expectation is that this study will provide significant bases for a variety of fields such as prosodic structure in the Standard Chinese.
