There are many different environments in which to raise a child: according to family history, parents’ socioeconomic status, mother’s employment status, parents’ temperament, the life priorities, religion, and culture. This paper is intended to identify positive and negative variables in immigrant parenting of adolescent children. Significant positive relationships were found between most of the protective factors and between all the risk factors. Sacrifice and religiosity showed significant relationships with some protective factors, but no relationship with risk factors. Among nine variables, authoritarian parenting style, low socio-economic status, communication problems, and the lack of heart connection showed the main negative relationships with positive variables. Although there were no differences in the positive and negative total scores for gender groups, age groups, and duration groups, there were some important findings regarding duration in America. Except for those born in America, the longer one had been in the US, both the positive total score and the negative total score were higher.
