The importance of sports information is to construct the software and database and to develope the efficient system which save the time and space. Although there were diverse needs about the management of windsurfing equipment, it is situation that we can not respond appropriately due to lack of database and absence of program.
The objective of this study is to develop the application program for management of windsurfing equipment. For this study, I looked at the researched papers from sport information project and the Korean Society of Sports Science, Korean Alliance for Health Physical Education Recreation and Dance. Also I identified the theoretical and program content of Visual Basic, database content and SQL language.
I constructed the 7 E-R relational table and established internal schema using 4th generation language, Visual Basic and SQL for the development of application program for management of windsurfing equipment.
I built the application system, and the results were as follows. First, if we enter the data in the form of records, database will be constructed, and various kinds of equipment will be classified by type, and we could grasp the stock and analyze the current status. Second, based on the created basic statistics, refined important information such as total mean, purchase time of equipment, are made in real time. Third, analysis and prediction of equipment will enable us to manage the time and manpower. Fourth, based on these, we could suggest the important basic resources for the management of windsurfing. In conclusion, we could systematically manage the windsurfing equipment with these constructed information in the form of database.
