Due to the change of the consumer's perception to ecological resources and paradigm of tourism behaviour, many researchers and countries have started to pay attention to the ecological resources values of wetlands. Coastal wetlands have a variety of functions and values such as natural purification, leisure experiences, economy and landscapes. In this study, ecotourism products are developed based on these wetland's functions. The popularity as a true eco travel destination cannot be reduced only to ecological resources of wetlands or ecotourism infrastructure. Because it are closely related to cultural, social, economical and political resources. The purpose of this study is to present promotion strategies for attracting more ecotourists to Gyeonggi Wetlands. It also presents typical ecotourism products by theme taken wetland's original functions and planning for cultural tourism industry around Hwaseong into consideration. The results of this study say that the policy priority should be focused on the extensive rebuilding of ecotourism infrastructure as well as upgrading the competitive edge of direct and indirect experience program. It means that the enhancement of hardware and software competitiveness in ecotourism should be appropriately balanced. It is also argued that policy should be directed to facilitating more coordinated strategic planning intervention. The article concludes with typical ecotourism products and market segmentation strategies designed to promote alignment of the stakeholder orientations. Future studies need to embrace feasibility studies, stylized facts to establish the framework and identify theoretical structures.
