The first purpose of this article is to investigate the rhythm of Kim uk's late poetry. "7 ? 5조" is the core of his consciousness of meter. And the syllabic meter to standardize the same number of syllables is another aspect of his consciousness of meter. Both are based on the principle of unicity, and produce the beauty of symmetry.
But there is the principle of diversity to produce a change of rhythm. The rhythm of breath changes a regular rhythm, and produce a free rhythm. Therefore a syllabic meter and the rhythm of breath are the key parts of the rhythm of Kim uk's late poetry. In other words 『안서시집』 is a complex of various rhythm.
