The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of the participation motivation of newsports on school life satisfaction and apply it in the field. To examine the relationship of high school students' participation motivation of newsports and school life satisfaction, 650 high school students in the four high schools where had newsports program after school were surveyed and the data were analyzed by correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The analysis results showed that the participation motivation of newsports had positive effects on school life satisfaction and the subfactors of school life satisfaction, that is, friendship, their relationship between teachers, learning activities, rule observance, and their satisfaction in school activities directly and indirectly. In conclusion, the participation motivation of newsports relaxes the students mentally and physically, enhances their relationship, and creates a good learning environment. In addition, the participation of newsports helps the students have a happy school life by relieving their mental and physical stress. Therefore, newsports should be practically applied in schools based on the positive effects of the participation of newsports. For this, various further studies on newsports will be needed.
