I try to examine the analogy between ‘frame’ theory of G. Laykof and language theory of M. M. Bakhtin. Laykof as a cognitive scientist submitted a theory that the ideology of the right and left politics is determined by their each frame expressed through language. The theory of M. M. Bakhtin is called as multiaccentuality. According to his theory, the ruling class tries to minimize multiaccentuality to uniaccentuality. There is a war on frame or class struggle in this minimization process. A war on frame can be identified with arena of class struggle told by M. M. Bakhtin. Language is an arena where social interests clash each other as frame is an arena where the progressive or conservative seizes power. In this sense, it can be said that M. M. Bakhtin anticipated Laykof. The result of class struggle depends on language where ideology is reflected and frame is determined.
