Participatory Budgeting(PB) is a practice that began in Porto Alegre City in the late 1980s. It helps to improve relationships within community. Therefore it is recognized as an effective way of involving local people in making decisions about how and where to spend local government"s funds. It in this county began in Bukgu District in Gwangju Metropolitan City and now have been institutionalization that has to introduce in entire local governments.
This article focuses on a revitalization of participatory budgeting in local governments throughout literature review and case study. In this paper for reaching the purpose discussed on the theoretical background and the Daejeon Matropolitan City case of participatory budgeting. Finally speaking, revitalization to the participatory budgeting of local government has to enact the ordinance of PB, ensure the professionality and representation of citizen committee, facilitate the function of departmental committee, and enlarge the publicity for PB
