In France, Muslim immigrants are regarded as a model of "criminal group" or "dangerous group". This policy of immigrant brought out many problems and cause the riots. In Germany, the selective immigration policy and eased regulation policy helped to enhance social integration of Germany. However, this policy make away with non-sufficient immigrants. Given these facts, the multi-cultural policy of Europe have a thought-provoking.
Korean society also enter into the multi-cultural society. The government must find ways to cope with this situation. The government should not make on model of Europe. Korea have distinctive features. The government should be analysed in detail. The attitude of korean people is also very important. Racism does exist everywhere, however, it is particularly strong in Korea because the nation is so homogenous and locals are not traditionally used to seeing or dealing with foreigners. So much so that the U.N. Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination had to express concerns that the Korean emphasis on racial homogenity could hurt understanding, tolerance and friendship of other races and peoples living in the same territory. And thus, it is necessary to change attitude towards immigrants.
