The purpose of this study was to discover the solving communication difficulty experienced by students in secondary schools, using grounded theory. Three students in Hope high school were selected as research participants. Data had collected using in-depth interviews, field notes and in-service curriculum materials. The collected data were analyzed using the analysis method suggested by Strauss and Corbin(1990). Member checking, peer debriefing, and triangulation were used during data collection and analysis to help assure trustworthiness and credibility of results. Based on the result of this study, the causation situations associated with the key phenomena were found to lie in the oppressive physical education class culture, education situation biased toward intellectual studies, and unsystematic class structure. Contextual situations that impacted these were found to be the subjects" prior perception of communication failure and their character. Also, mediating situations that facilitated interaction in connection with the key phenomena were categorized into the subjects, inter-family communication, their communication with other teachers, and their interest in evaluation result of physical education classes. Interaction strategies were found to be escape from the oppressed state associated with being threatened, and overcoming of feeling of helplessness. Subjects used these methods and responded to communication difficulty.
