Many countries have carried out various policies about green building construction to save the Earth from global warming and energy crisis. Buildings have emitted over 40% of carbon dioxide against whole quantities emitted to the Earth. Therefore, Green building has become one of the important issues in the field of architectural construction over the past several years. Counter measures against global warming are the most important priority for mankind reducing the carbon dioxide emitted from buildings. Korea government has executed the Green Building Certification Criteria(GBCC) in 2002. It also enacted GBCC for educational facilities in 2005. The GBCC was quite changed in its score categories and assessment system in 2010 and the GBCC for educational facilities was also changed a lot. In this study, the old and new versions of GBCC for educational facilities were analyzed and their revised items and assessment score systems were also evaluated. This study aimed to present new direction for better amendments of GBCC by analysing the new and old versions of GBCC for educational facilities.
