The purpose of this study is to examine major choosing factors and characteristics with details which influence on decision making factors of determining their airline service department major and their study subjects, to provide the information that students can determine their proper major and relevant study subjects.
Three hundred and forty study subjects were selected from enrolled students in airline service major department in six colleges and universities.
Results showed that choosing decision of airline service major was often made at the early age (middle school) and determining factors of choosing major were character and attitude, social recognition, university requirement conditions, academic grades and physical conditions, acquaintances" recommendations.
Regarding academic satisfactions, various satisfactions were shown at the order of recognition satisfaction, academic curriculum satisfaction, relationships satisfaction and general satisfaction. Character and attitude showed positive relationships with recognition satisfaction, academic curriculum satisfaction, relationships satisfaction and general satisfaction and university requirement conditions showed negative effects to recognition satisfaction. Acquaintances" recommendations didn"t influence to other factors.
