As the Internet develops, the importance of electronic commerce transactions increase and accordingly, damage cases of consumers become frequent so that in order to protect consumers, Act on the Consumer Protection in the Electronic Commerce Transactions, Etc. was established on Mar. 30, 2001(hereinafter referred to as Act on the Consumer Protection in the Electronic Commerce Transactions). Since then, Act on the Consumer Protection in the Electronic Commerce Transactions had been revised a total of ten times until it was revised on May 28, 2013. However, because the notion of mail order that is the keyword of the 10th revised Act on the Consumer Protection in the Electronic Commerce Transactions is not clarified yet, even though there are several issues to be urgently revised such as different interpretations on the notion of the mail order business and regulation on the withdrawal of a subscription and the right to cancel a contract, they are not reflected to the 10th revised Act on the Consumer Protection in the Electronic Commerce Transactions and they remain as issues to be revised. This paper newly examined the issues that are not reflected yet in spite of ten-time revised Act on the Consumer Protection in the Electronic Commerce Transactions to emphasize the urgency of its revision and additionally, suggested the issues for Act on the Consumer Protection in the Electronic Commerce Transactions to protect the rights of consumers and to be improved in the future and its plan to revise.
