The objectives of this study are to analyze the importance of tourist sites selection factors. In order to achieve this goal, this study suggests factors that affect the location selection for no complex facilities tourist sites in Jeju island.
As a result of the analyses, 20 evaluation factors for location selection are adopted with Delphi method, and these 20 factors are arranged in order of importance via the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The order is as follows: Connectivity of tourists’ major travel lines (0.113), Comfortableness of the environment (0.084), Link to other tourist attractions (0.070), Accessibility to main roads (0.062), Accessibility to the airport (0.059), Land prices (0.052), Accessibility to public transport (0.050), Laws and regulations of land use (0.048), Similar tour spots in the vicinity (0.048), Incentives from the local government (0.046), Feasibility of local employment (0.045), Water supply (0.044), Local culture in the vicinity (0.043), Green area in a site (0.042), Feasibility of additional development (0.041), Drainage (0.038), Protection of wildlife (0.032), Vulnerability to disasters (0.031), Land securement (0.028) and Feasibility of site expansion (0.024).
