The aim of this paper is to estimate the preference of the residents to the low-carbon ecological projects by using Conjoint Analysis in the Haeundae New Apartment Complex in Busan, Korea. The empirical analysis finds that the preference of the residents who both responded "yes" or "no" to the WTP for the low-carbon ecological projects were as follows : saving energy (renewable energy application), conservation of water resources, environmental education for a low-carbon city, saving resources (resources recycling), and increasing green-space.
Measuring the respondents "yes" to the WTP against the respondents "no" to WTP in the degree of the relative importance, there were huge differences in saving energy(renewable energy application), environmental education for a low-carbon city, increasing green-space, but no differences in saving energy(renewable energy application) and conservation of water resources. on the basis of this results, It can be estimated that carrying forward projects such as saving energy(renewable energy application), environmental education for a low-carbon city, increasing green-space are needed to induce WTP of the residents for the low-carbon ecological projects preferentially.
