The most important cause of population decline in fishing village in Korea is low income base in fishing village compare with urban area. Tourism has larger inductive effect in employment than manufacturing business, so if tourism in fishing area is promoted, we can expect increasing income and jobs in fishing village. The purpose of this study is to find out problems of fishing village tourism and give some solutions to promote a fishing village tourism through tourism storytelling.
The result show that four kinds solutions. First, We should use relevant historical figures to local area and create a variety stories through differing perspective. Second, When using the local cultural heritage, We make the best use of historical imagination how it is connected to the time we live in and it has meaning to us. Third, When we use such tales and folk tales, It is very important factor how we can expand the narrative contents and to apply the contents of the stories in the real world. Finally, It is necessary to develop the tourism product tied up with culture contents such as novel, drama and film.
