The purpose of this study is to identify the meaning of `Green-Tourism` and recognize how it was begun and being implemented at home and abroad. This will be referred to Green-Tourism being blossomed into one of the most popular family leisure activities in Korea following the increased free time and higher household income in the future. Green-Tourism means interchanging activities in which urban citizen enjoy the beauty of country nature, traditional culture and food, rural lifestyle and experiences of fanning in exchange of providing farmers opportunity to increase their income. To achieve this goal, the government of advanced countries such as France, U.K., Germany and Japan has supported farmers and their villages to build new accommodation facilities, roads, restaurants, recreation facilities and so on, to remodel their old farm houses, to organize alliance to provide urban users with proper information and public relations. Korean federal and local governments are currently analyzing impact of dissemination of Green-Tourism on society, culture and economy so as to make appropriate program to meet both urban users and rural farmers` needs. Green-Tourism, as a family activity, plays significant role to strengthen emotional ties among family members while solving their problems. Furthermore, with combining with sports activities, it will be able to do more important role in the family function and improve family relationship.
