The purpose of this study was to investigate the job stress levels according to the occupational characteristics and health status in leaders of sports for all. Their job stress levels, occupational characteristics, and health status were analyzed by validated questionnaire from a total of 251 leaders of sports for all in K province. Collected data were analyzed by independent t-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) and post hoc test was conducted by Duncan using SPSS Version 12.0 Program. According to general characteristics, female leaders of sports for all presented significantly higher job stress than those of male leaders. However, there were no differences in job stress by marriage status and educational level. Leaders with low job satisfaction or with longer working period presented significantly higher job stress. In addition, leaders who considered changing and/or resigning jobs or who experienced hardness and/or conflict on their job also presented significantly higher job stress. Lastly, according to their health status, leaders who experienced outpatient medical examination and treatment within 1 year, accident and/or injury indicated significantly higher job stress. In conclusion, the job stress in leaders of sports for all was significantly associated with their occupational characteristics, and health status. Enhancing their occupational environment and maintaining healthy status should be considered to improve their job stress.
