The aim of this study is to investigate the influence between self-leadership and leader-member exchange of hotel employees with 10 years or more experience on psychological empowerment and organizational citizenship behavior. Based on 126 samples collected from employees in 13 super deluxe hotels in Seoul for empirical study, a total 5 hypotheses were verified by a multiple regression analysis. The results of this study was as follows. First, self-leadership had significantly positive effect on psychological empowerment and organizational citizenship behavior. Progressive thought dimension had a positively influence on psychological empowerment, but self-management dimension did not have an influence on it. There was no significant statistical influence in sportsmanship dimension of organizational citizenship behavior, and self-management had a positive influence on organizational citizenship behavior. Second, quality of LMX had a significantly positive effect on psychological empowerment and OCB. Contribution dimension had a positive influence on psychological empowerment and OCB while emotional ties dimension had affected OCB only. And sportsmanship and altruism dimension did not have significant statistical influences on the relationship between LMX and OCB. Psychological empowerment had a positive effect on OCB. But there was no significant statistical influence in sportsmanship dimension. Competence and meaningfulness dimensions(and meaningfulness dimensions had a significant influence while personal influence did not. Based on these findings, the theoretical and empirical implications were discussed. The findings provide useful information for managements of hotels.
