The purpose of this study is to examine the change of korean economic policy and the cultural subjects in 1960-70s. After April Revolution and May 16 coup, korean society is reorganized in terms of economy. Slogan of overcoming poverty and economic growth was working for home administration policy, which connected whit the Third World countries economy alliance, works out the immanent development theory But it is the economy that control the korean society in effect. Loans form America, West germany, and Japan drive korean government and people be economic subjects, and take over the unbalanced growth model. These changes were from W. W. Rostow"s idea and policy which exercised a lot of influence over Korea. It means that Korea transfer into World System.
The loans was not only an economic facility, but also the normative instance of whole of Korea. Each people can be an subjects who work in the workshop made by loans, government had to organize and align all economic policies and systems. ) In other words, all Korean was changed by the demands of loans p개viding countries, and build the identities of subjects. The loans was a cause and origins of korean modernity. West german money means assiduousness and anticommunism, and japanese money call the reasonable repayment plan.
One of the korean literary response is Choe, In-Hun"s works, A day of writer Gu-Bo, The Voice of Viceroy, The Voice of Premier. In his works, Choe showed a intellectual subject who take an ethical attitude, and his anxieties. Choe"s intellectual character"s inner conflicts are made by logic of the loans, that is "the something borrowed" was dangerous indispensable, but indispensable, so someone"s trial for escape from economic system of the world finally fall into failure. In this inwardness, Choe"s works ended up the response against the reality of 1970s. But true cultural subjects may be the laborer who works on the comprador capital workplace. The laborer"s writing way be the true path for in insight for the economic structure of Korea.
