This study is to examine the effects of resocialization through sports activities on wellness and well-dying awareness among retired senior citizens. The research was conducted with a sample of 372 retired seniors participating in sports activities and the results are as follows;
First, men have a higher level of wellness than women do. Training type has the highest level of physical wellness; competition type has the highest level of intellectual wellness and social wellness; outdoor type has the highest level of emotional wellness. Group with higher fitness level has a higher level of wellness.
Second, men have a higher level of well-dying awareness than women do. Competition type has the highest level of well-dying awareness in social dimension; training type has the highest level of well-dying awareness in physical dimension. Group with higher fitness level has a higher level of well-dying awareness.
Third, it is found that resocialization has a significant effect on wellness. As for the predictive value(R²) of resocialization on wellness, physical wellness is 28%, intellectual wellness 14%, social wellness 24%, spiritual wellness 21% and emotional wellness 18%.
Fourth, it is found that resocialization has a significant effect on well-dying awareness. As for the predictive value(R²) of resocialization on well-dying awareness, social dimension is 19%, physical dimension 26%, mental dimension 20%, and spiritual dimension 15%.
