The purpose of this study was to intend to give a detailed description of the effects of authentic leadership on organizational effectiveness by verifying the mediated effects of learning organization on the relationship between authentic leadership and organizational effectiveness. For these research aims, a survey was conducted on 200 workers who had been employed in the manufacturing part in a large domestic enterprise. From the survey, only 188 data out of 200 were used for the final analysis. The following are the research results. First, authentic leadership significantly predicts organizational effectiveness in terms of job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior. Second, learning organization partial mediated the relationship between authentic leadership and organizational effectiveness (job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior). Therefore, these findings show that if organizational members recognize their leader as an authentic one, it will have a more significant effect not only on their job attitude but also on organizational effectiveness. Besides, authentic leaders need to foster a positive environment for their members as well as study and improve themselves continually. In conclusion, by demonstrating the effectiveness of authentic leadership in the Korean business environment, it is expected that this study will be helpful to the theoretical expansion of authentic leadership, leadership development and education.
