This study looked into what impacts communication would have on emotional labor and organizational citizenship behavior in employees at hotels in Jeju Island and attempted to analyze whether self leadership would have a moderating effect on the relationship between two variables, communication and emotional labor. As a result of an empirical analysis in the study, it was verified that communication had impacts on emotional labor and organizational citizenship behavior while self leadership had a moderating effect. Thus, this study judges that issuing the regulation of emotional labor, which has been brought into relief as a serious problem of service providers, developing a communication program to smooth communication within the organization to reduce the expenditure of emotions the employees feel from the inside and outside and finding motivation and emotional stability for them can keep the emotional health of the members in the organization.
