The objective of this research was to contain comprehensive contents of knowledges that are prerequisite to understand Korean traditional games and procedures of educational activities through long-term implementation. For research design and procedures, Curriculum Development Model of Lee Yongsook(2002) and of Taba(Han Gyureong, 2005) were used after revision and complements to be the basic framework of the program, along with 4 major processes. Data analysis was conducted through methods of observation, field note-taking, descriptive observation data, interviews, self-reviews, peer evaluation, consultation meetings of experts, and then was followed by conclusion that is prerequisite for generalization of traditional games program for intellectually handicapped children. First, the program must be composed in a way that it provides comfortable approaches to Korean cultures, along with food, clothing and shelter of Korean style, cultural assets, and traditional arts, considering the cognitive ability of intellectually handicapped children. Second, the program must be composed in a way that it reflects educational objective to promote development of psychomotor, cognitive and definitional domains for intellectually handicapped children. Third, it is necessary to adjust levels, simplify rules and diversify assistance devices in order to make it possible f or children to be interested in and be willing to participate. Fourth, assistants and volunteers must be selected in advance, in order to equip them with necessary background information regarding features of program and the children, before participating in the program.
