The article deals with the juche regime of North Korea theologically, which is analyzed in the view of the concept of covenant of God. The article consists of four parts: theological and missiological understanding of the covenant idea in Christian tradition, theological understanding on the North Korean juche Regime, covenantal realization in the Juche regime, and covenantal tasks of the South Korean churches. The first part elucidates the concept of covenant and its structure. God created covenant with the whole people of Israel. The covenant is characterized with two aspects: God centered and between-human centered. The between - human character makes the inseparable relationship between individual and community in which the corporate personality such as original charismatic figures Moses and David was understood. The theological and missiological aspect of the covenant is described in the .Socio-political area. The second part attempts to understand the Juche regime of Kim Jeong-Il in the North Korea. The Juche society is analyzed as a religious society. There is a remarkable affinity between Christianity and Juche-ism of Kim Jeong-Il. The juche regime has a structure of the corporate personality in which Kim Jeong-II(leader), Communist party, and people are equalized. However, the structure in which Kim Jeong-Il controls the other two, party and people is criticized. The third part discusses the covenantal realization in the Juche regime in the North Korea. Can be the North Korea a partner of God`s covenant? It is possible, because the Church of North Korea, a part of North Korean society functions as the representative of the juche regime. God can make a covenant with the Church of North Korea in order to establish a peaceful society. Accordingly, the Church is responsible to fulfill some tasks to make peace and reunification in the Korean Peninsula. In conclusion, the article suggests some covenantal tasks to the South Korean churches which are asked to help the Church of North Korea and the North Korean people.
