The purpose of this study is to introduce U-CAAM(University-Competence Assessment & Accreditation Management) system which is designed to effectively manage extracurricular education programs in a university. Extracurricular education is known to be very important to increase core competences of students who have different levels of knowledge and skills as well as career plans. Therefore, the costs and efforts to offer and manage university extracurricular education programs have been dramatically increased in Korea these days specially with many government financial support projects such as ACE, LINC and CK. However, it is considered to have many problems with operating extracurricular education programs such as similar programs offering at the same time, non-systematic management of program participation information and etc. mainly caused by the fact that there is not a systematic management procedure or system environment to effectively manage those programs so far. In this study, U-CAAM system which is designed and developed to tackle those problems related to university extracurricular education is introduced. The case will give meaningful insights to those universities which consider to have similar environment.
