This paper studies narration about Catholic persecution experience in Letter written by Choe Yang-eop. This will help to argue Letter written by Choe Yang-eop aim to constitute healing writing on Catholic persecution experience getting out trauma of wound.
Letter written by Choe Yang-eop document persecution experience about entrance in Chosun and terrible life of believer in Catholic. But his Letter beyond to document about objective fact. Using particular narrative style, he develops meaning of Letter. Letter written by Choe Yang-eop use style of confession to write on self-experience and life of believer in self-experience. And Use Ch’uan(傳) style to write on life of believer which is observed or investigated. This show each discourse image of self-personality about wish being the Good Shepherd and instructive character overcoming Catholic persecution, which can lead sympathy on community.
