The aim of this study is to identify the cultural disposition (CD), importance of traits (IoT) and multicultural environmental sensitivity (MES) of public health college students. Data were collected by questionnaires from 185 nursing college students and 159 dental hygiene college students in one city. The data was analyzed using SPSS 21.0. The results were as follow : The mean scores of CD, IoT and MES were 4.68 (±.51), 5.15 (±.74) and 3.52 (±.43), respectively. The MES was statistically different to belonging department(t=2.01, p=0.45), overseas travel experience (t=4.04, p<.001), foreign friends (t=4.31, p<.001), foreign language skills (t=3.95, p<.001) and multicultural education experience (t=3.11, p=.002). The effective factors of MES in participants were horizontal individualism and collectivism in CD, interdependent characteristics in IoT, foreign friends, foreign language skills, and overseas travel experience (R²=.329). In conclusion, public health colleges need to endeavor to enhance cultural competence by activating education programs through multicultural experience and multicultural related courses opening in consideration of cultural deposition and importance of traits so as to elevate individual’s multicultural environmental sensitivity at the global medical worksites.
