There has been an increase in the importance of prototyping through collaboration based on changes in software development methods. In order to realize effective collaborative prototyping, this study focused on considering prototyping tools 1) communicative functions, 2) document modification and revision history functions, and 3) interaction and platform and proposed the right direction.
As a communicative function, functions to establish information by occupational group, to form and check opinions, and set processing priorities are required. From the perspective of document modification and revision history functions, there is a need for functions to authorize for modifying documents without constraints, to display document modifiers, and to compare modified content. Furthermore, there is a need to create easy and intuitive interaction without the constraints of platform.
In the future, there is need for empirical analysis of the described functions and the design of prototyping tools to provide functions.
