This study is to analyze the influence and role of the postwar Korea Shinto based on the domestic Shrine Remains and Korean Yasukuni Shrine enshrinement. That is, it is an analysis of the remains that have any continuity with the prewar State Shinto and what it is if it is disconnected.
First, it was specifically investigated and a database that domestic Shrine established in each region remains in some form and is responsible for any features. Also, the approximate distribution site of the domestic Shrine and Shrine Remains and the changed appearance after the liberation are also showed and analyzed by comparison with prewar State Shinto system sharing local history scholar of regional field survey data.
This results from the analysis are as follows. In Japan, State Shinto was broken by a Shinto Directive but was to remain in the form of imperial sacrifices and the Emperor reverence. As it is also retained in the form of Tanritsu Shukyo Hojin, the Yasukuni Shrine has remained as a potential element of national mourning for the fallen of State Shinto priests.
In looking at the impact of State Shinto in Korea, Shrine Remains have been reproduced and re-consumption. With regard to Yasukuni Shrine enshrinement Korea Shinto is a continuous and sustained by the Yasukuni Shrine in the framework of the country, not outside the framework of State Shinto Shinto.
After the war, the Shrine Remains and Yasukuni Shrine enshrinement in Korea have a duality of disconnection and a series of State Shinto. Under colonial rule the religion policy feature of Korea will become more obvious analyzed by comparison with Japan, Taiwan and Manchuria.
