This study intends to verify an feasibility of creating outdoor environment and green area design criteria that is an evaluation item to evaluate the G-SEED by using SET* which evaluates a comfort and WBGT which prevents heat stroke and by focusing how students feel thermal comforts in practice. The site of study based on authorized schools by G-SEED and school that were selected as afforestation project and investigated from July to August. The SET* of each school shows Case2 > Case1 > Case4 > Case3 > Case5 and especially this study can find that Case5 which was certified by G-SEED have evaluated as great environmental performance, but its thermal comfort of outdoor environment was poor. The results of study indicate green space > water space > playground in terms of space comfort. In the case of WBGT, it showed same results with SET*, so the study turned out ventilation and shading was important when creating green area and water space. It showed that the green area design criteria for assessing the outdoor environment of G-SEED is not appropriate because both SET* and WBGT were not comfortable or were corresponding to the risk level which is outdoor activity restriction.
