In recent years, the vigorous development of the exhibition industry makes it more serious that excessive waste of the human and financial resources,as well as the environment, which becomes a huge obstacle restricting the development of the exhibition industry. Paper materials include a series of new paper products like wrapping paper, corrugated paper and honeycomb paper under the development of new printing technology which broaden the application field of paper materials. In this article, through the analysis of characteristics of paper materials, we advise to put the use of new materials into the exhibition design, and put forward the plan of assembled booth by one person, which can reduce labor costs to improve material waste pollution. we analyze three representative cases by three companies: the booth built by paper tube of the DAVINES brand of Shigeru Ban, the bookshop built by corrugated paper by Campaign Design, the Graphic design office built by honeycomb paper by Paul coudamy. Then, we analyze the feasibility of the assembled mode by one person. We found these three new kinds of paper are suitable to carry out in the design plans of assembled booth by one person because these paper materials are light in weight, simple to connect, and easy to cut. We can get the conclusion that it can save the human resources and reduce the difficulty of building, and also can realize the sustainable development of the exhibition industry.
